Made with ❤️ for builders by builders

Welcome to Q

Q is the AI-native product management platform. Define your product once, and every AI tool - from Cursor to Claude to Codex - knows exactly what you're building.

Why Q?

Modern development teams use dozens of AI tools. Without a shared source of truth, each tool works in isolation. You end up re-explaining your product vision, architecture, and priorities in every conversation.

Q solves this by acting as the single product intent layer that all your tools connect to.

Core Concepts

Projects

A project is the central entity in Q. It contains everything about what you're building: pages of structured content, mission boards for execution, integrations with your dev tools, and AI that ties it all together.

Pages

Pages are the building blocks inside a project. Q ships with two default page types:

  • Text Pages - Markdown documents with read, edit, and AI-suggest modes, version history, and a comments timeline.
  • Mission Boards - Smart kanban boards with operations (epics), missions (tickets), customizable workflows, and AI integration.

Two special page types are available once per project: Assets for uploaded PDFs and Links for external references.

Sparks

Sparks are where ideas begin. Capture a thought, problem, or observation before it's ready to become a full project. Let Q's AI help you iterate and find an interesting angle, then turn it into a project when you're ready.

AI in Q

Q has two AI surfaces:

  • General Q - An always-on co-pilot that helps you onboard, suggests follow-ups when you complete missions, and acts as a strategic project helper.
  • Sidebar AI - A chat interface where you choose a model, give Q read or edit access to your pages, and let it manage your project like a product manager assistant.

Integrations

Q connects to external tools through MCP servers, file exports, GitHub, and more - so your AI coding assistants always have the latest product context. See the Integrations tab for the full list.

Quick Start

Create a workspace

Sign up at heyq.com and create your workspace. Every account starts on the Free plan.

Start a project

Use the Project Setup Wizard to get going. Paste a brief, describe an idea, upload a PDF, scrape a website, connect GitHub, fork a public template, brainstorm with AI, or start from scratch. For most methods, Q's AI guides you through the setup.

Define your product

Add text pages and mission boards to capture your product's structure, intent, and execution plan.

Connect your tools

Set up the Q MCP server in Cursor, Claude, or any MCP-compatible tool so your AI assistants always have full product context.

Build with context

Your AI tools now share a single source of truth. When you update Q, every connected tool sees the change.
