Connecting Q with other Services

Q is designed as a single source of truth for your product knowledge. But knowledge locked inside a tool is only half as useful - integrations are what bring it to life. They let you push context into your development tools and pull external data back into your project.

We differentiate between two types of connectors:

External Connectors

Push product knowledge out of Q into tools like Cursor, Claude, or any MCP-compatible system. Make your external tools smarter.

Internal Connectors

Bring external data into Q - for example, routing contact form submissions into a Mission Board.

External Connectors

External connectors let you get your product knowledge and intent out into the world. There are two categories:

General Connectors

These work with any tool that supports the respective protocol or format.

MCP Server

Any tool that supports MCP (Model Context Protocol) can talk directly to your Q project. This is the most powerful and flexible way to integrate.

Raw File Export

Download selected Q files as a ZIP archive with the original folder structure preserved.

Agent Skill Export

Build a custom skill.md file containing as much or as little project context as needed - inspired by Claude's Agent Skills format.

Tool-Specific Connectors

These are purpose-built for specific development tools and take advantage of their unique capabilities.

Cursor Rules Export

Turn any file in your project into a Cursor .mdc rule - or combine multiple files into a single rule to supercharge Cursor's agent.

Cursor Cloud Agents

Assign a mission to Cursor Cloud Agents so Cursor can work on the linked GitHub repository in the background.

GitHub

Connect a repository to enable Q Product Manager on pull requests. Also required for Cloud Agents.

Internal Connectors

Internal connectors bring external data into Q to enrich your project. Currently, we offer one internal connector:

Mission Board Webhooks

Build your own external service that creates entries in a Mission Board - for example, routing contact form submissions into actionable tasks.

More Coming Soon

If you need a specific internal connector, please reach out to us. We're always looking for ways to make Q smarter.

Walkthroughs

Step-by-step guides showing exactly how to set up and work with Q alongside your favorite tools.

Cursor

The complete guide to using Q with Cursor - from MCP setup to Cursor Rules and Cloud Agents.

Claude

How to connect Q to Claude using MCP and Agent Skills for context-rich conversations.

Codex

Set up Q as the context layer for OpenAI Codex using file exports and MCP.

More walkthroughs for tools like Windsurf, VS Code, v0, Lovable, Bolt, Replit, and OpenCode are on the roadmap. Stay tuned.
