Welcome to Q ("Q", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by The Nexus Collective GmbH. By accessing our website at https://www.heyq.com or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use this service.
Q is an AI-powered idea management platform that helps users structure, develop, and manage their product ideas. Our services include:
You must be at least 16 years old to use Q if you are located in the European Union, or 13 years old if you are located elsewhere. By using our service, you represent that you meet these age requirements.
To access most features, you must create an account using one of our supported authentication methods (email/password, Google OAuth, or magic links). You may optionally enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) for additional security.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Each account is for a single individual; sharing account credentials is prohibited.
Upon registration, a personal workspace is automatically created for you. This workspace is owned by you and cannot be transferred.
You may create or join team workspaces to collaborate with others. Team workspaces have roles (owner, admin, member) with different permission levels. The workspace owner is responsible for managing access and content within the workspace.
Important: We reserve the right to delete workspaces that have been inactive for 12 consecutive months. Before any deletion, we will send at least two (2) email notifications to the workspace owner at the email address associated with their account. You are responsible for ensuring your contact information is up to date.
Q offers the following subscription tiers:
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. We will provide at least 30 days notice before any price increases take effect.
Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing for the remainder of your billing period. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.
AI credits are subject to the following terms:
Important: Features described as "unlimited" (such as Basic AI during beta) are subject to fair use. We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue unlimited features if they become commercially unviable or are subject to abuse. Features marked "during beta" may be modified or discontinued at any time.
You retain ownership of all content you create on Q, including ideas, decisions, learnings, and other materials. By using our service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:
We do not use your content to train AI models. Your ideas and data are processed only to provide the services you request and are not used to train or improve AI systems.
You are solely responsible for the content you create and share on Q. You represent that you have all necessary rights to your content and that it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
The Q platform, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by The Nexus Collective GmbH and protected by intellectual property laws. Your use of the service does not grant you any ownership rights in our platform.
Our AI features are powered by third-party providers, including OpenAI and others. When you use AI features, relevant portions of your content may be sent to these providers to generate responses. Use of these features is also subject to the providers' respective terms of service and privacy policies.
AI-generated content is provided for informational and creative purposes only. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI outputs. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before relying on it.
You own the outputs generated by AI features for your use, subject to any applicable third-party AI provider terms. However, similar outputs may be generated for other users based on similar inputs.
Features marked as "beta" are experimental and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. Beta features are provided "as is" with no warranty.
Q supports integration with AI coding assistants like Cursor via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). When you use these integrations, selected idea data is shared with the connected tools to provide context for AI assistance.
You control which ideas and data are shared through MCP integrations. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies and terms of service of any third-party tools you connect.
We are not responsible for the behavior, outputs, or data handling practices of third-party AI tools. Your use of such tools is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms.
You may use Q for personal or commercial purposes to manage and develop ideas, subject to these terms and your subscription plan limits.
You may not use Q to:
We reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict access to content that violates these terms. We may suspend or terminate accounts engaged in prohibited activities without prior notice.
Your use of Q is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
Your data is stored and processed using Supabase infrastructure, primarily located in the European Union. We use sub-processors including Supabase (database and authentication), OpenAI (AI features), Stripe (payments), PostHog (analytics), and Loops.so (email communications).
We are committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws. You have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
You may export your ideas and data at any time using our export features. Available export formats include Cursor rules configurations, MCP configurations, and ZIP archives containing your content.
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We recommend exporting your data before deleting your account.
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to Q. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features ofQ at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes that significantly affect your use of the service.
We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that temporarily affects service availability. We will endeavor to provide advance notice of scheduled maintenance when possible.
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the settings page or by contacting us at support@heyq.com.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these terms, engage in prohibited activities, or if required by law. We may also terminate accounts that have been inactive for extended periods as described in Section 3.3.
Upon termination, your right to use Q ceases immediately. Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Purchased credits and subscription fees are non-refundable upon termination.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that: (a) the service will meet your requirements; (b) the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; (c) AI-generated content will be accurate, reliable, or suitable for any purpose; or (d) any defects in the service will be corrected.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE NEXUS COLLECTIVE GMBH AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) EUR 100.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Nexus Collective GmbH and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the service; (b) your content; (c) your violation of these terms; or (d) your violation of any rights of a third party.
Before initiating any formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at support@heyq.com to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. We will endeavor to resolve complaints and disputes within 30 days.
These terms and any disputes arising from them shall be governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any legal proceedings shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Hamburg, Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
For consumers in the European Union, the European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. We are neither obligated nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. For material changes that significantly affect your rights, we will provide at least 30 days notice via email or through the service. Your continued use of Q after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms.
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Nexus Collective GmbH regarding Q.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
You may not assign or transfer these terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these terms without restriction.
